Dear BSD2 Families and Staff,

I want to express my sincere gratitude to each of you. This year, our theme of being ALL IN has shined brightly across our schools, and I am truly thankful for the dedication, partnership, and spirit our families, staff, and students have shown each day. Your commitment to being ALL IN has made a meaningful difference in our classrooms and our community

This collective effort has fueled our students’ growth and helped make this a year of progress and renewed purpose. Thank you for the many ways you support our mission and one another.

I hope your holidays are filled with peace, joy, and time with loved ones. We are excited to welcome our students back on Monday, January 5th, as we continue to learn and grow together.

First trimester report cards were sent home on Tuesday, December 2 and grades are now available for parents to view in the Parent Portal.

We understand that many families in our community are currently facing uncertainty and hardship due to disruptions to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Please remember you are not alone. BSD2 and our community partners are ALL IN when it comes to supporting our families.  

The budget will allow the District to continue to offer all of its programs. It projects a $46,000 surplus, with expenditures and revenues roughly balancing at $47 million. 

Classes will begin on Wednesday, August 20, and the last day of school will be Tuesday, June 2, unless emergency days are needed. Other key dates are as follows ...

The Illinois State Board of Education has released the 2024 Illinois Report Cards. Bensenville School District 2 is proud to celebrate that all three of our schools have earned a Commendable Designation. This designation is based on several indicators: academic achievement/growth, attendance rates, and the 5 Essentials Survey.

The budget authorizes about $46.4 million of revenue, and $57 million in expenditures, including $11 million for the renovation of Blackhawk Middle School. The renovation costs are being paid for with cash on hand from before the year began. Without the renovation costs, the budget has a modest surplus of about $600,000, or 1.3 percent of revenue.
