Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences are from noon-8 p.m. Thursday, October 24, and 8 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, October 25.
Northern Illinois Food Bank’s Mobile Market Pantry will distribute free, nutritious food on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last, from 4-5:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 8, at Fenton High School, 1000 W. Green Street in Bensenville.
Wednesday, October 2, is the first-trimester mid-term. First-trimester mid-term progress reports will be shared on Friday, October 11.
Fabian Ramirez, a renowned anti-bullying speaker and drug prevention specialist, will share his message about how communities can “Decrease Bullying, Prevent Substance Abuse, and Increase Student Outcomes” at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, October 17, at Fenton High School.
The budget authorizes about $46.4 million of revenue, and $57 million in expenditures, including $11 million for the renovation of Blackhawk Middle School. The renovation costs are being paid for with cash on hand from before the year began. Without the renovation costs, the budget has a modest surplus of about $600,000, or 1.3 percent of revenue.
This committee will research how the District could potentially add an elementary Spanish program to the school day.
